Girl looking up

In 1992, Shri Rajeshwar ji took upon him the mission to uplift the poorest of the poor. He worked relentlessly to forward his mission. Mrs. Lalita Nijhawan then took over the baton and started the mission to educate the masses.

Today her efforts have led to the creation of 346 schools in Banswara and 345 schools in Northeast educating around 42000 and 12254 children respectively. In Haridwar there are 96 girls who are being taken care of in an orphanage.

We admit abandoned girls and rear them in our orphanage. Each girl who comes to our orphanage has a different story. She could be the one left on a railway station with a banner written ‘anybody who needs her can take her’ or in a bundle of clothes left in a forest, brought by the police.

We started schools in tribal areas where there were no roads in 1992. Sometimes in 1990’s we started schools from a room with no roof and no facility around. The teachers were not ready join us as there was no transport to reach or even a road as it was hilly area. They had to walk miles to reach any village and the availability of food was scarce so they did not want to even listen to us about our ideas. But slowly watching our zealous efforts, one or two persons agreed and we started the first school.
