B.R. Ambedkar's Vision of Women's Economic Empowerment: A Speech by the CKRDT President

On the 15th of April, 2021 commemorating the jayanti of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar. As president of CKRDT, Mrs Lalita Nijhawan presented her perspective on Ambedkar's vision of 'Women Empowerment towards Gender Inclusion and New India' especially pertaining to Economic Development.

We all are aware that B.R. Ambedkar risked everything to continue his fight for the plight of women empowerment, and to uplift the marginalized communities of India. His work had made him a national icon and a real life hero whose legacy lives on in our lives. Mrs Lalita Nijhawan shared the platform with Padma Shri awardee and Mithila Artist Shri Dulari Devi, the National Vice President of Bharatiya Stree Shakti Ms. Nayan Sahasrabuddhe, Principal of Shri Venkateshwara College Prof. C. Sheela Reddy, and Dr. Rashmi Singh IAS Spl. Secretary & Director Dept W&CD and Social Welfare Govt of NCT. She was honoured to have been selected as one of the speakers for his thoughts and visions, to be able to reach out to many people and regard him for his visionary work, and to share the same platform as such lovely, strong and courageous women.
